If you watched this and guessed it was shot in 4 days, you’d be right! Boris Karloff plays a deranged Baron. Jack Nicholson plays a maniac French soldier.
There’s also an evil old lady who made a pact with the Devil and a castle servant (played by Bronx-native Dick Miller).
Daniel Radcliffe plays a lawyer from London at the turn of the century. And also a widower with a son. He travels by train to the countryside and then things get scary.
I thought, by the end, the main protagonists had stumbled on a clever solution that would satisfy the creepy Woman in Black. I was wrong.
P.S. There’s a bog and some creepy dolls in this film (available on Amazon Prime Video).
You can’t make another Citizen Kane. It’s impossible, so why try?
Instead… make THE SECOND BEST SCIENCE FICTION MOVIE EVER MADE because why the hell not?!
Is the title of this a reference to 2001? To Close Encounters of the Third Kind? Is the “best” sci-fi movie The Day the Earth Stood Still? Well, the filmmakers never tell us and we’ll probably never know what they’re talking about. All I can say is that we should be happy they gave us what they did.
Though slightly long, I’d go so far to say that this film is a DIY masterpiece. You “could” mock this film, but YOU couldn’t make this even if you tried.
WOW! What a bizarre film. This must be experienced to be believed. College filmmaking courses should include this film as “Recommended Viewing”. I’m being honest.
This Japanese anthology of short “found footage” horror vignettes is only 55 min long so you have no excuse not to even try to watch these (unless you don’t have Amazon Prime).
The three shorts touch on subjects of #demons #trespassing #murder #suicide #mutilation and um… general creepiness.
Here’s spoilerISH review since I probably really need to see it a second time in order to remember spoilers.
Ryan Gosling has never bothered me so that’s not an issue. And forgot to mention that the best performance of the film is from the actress who played Luv.
While trapped on a country road, inside of a broke down car, a mother and daughter are forced to mend their tumultuous relationship as a monster stalks them.
This movie was great and echoes some of the best elements of Aliens (1986) and The Descent (2005). THE MONSTER is available on #AmazonPrimeVideo and worth a Halloween season viewing.
This is THE 80s horror film for fans of 4 out of 5 Doctors (band).
Life is hard for 7 sorority sisters about to graduate. It gets even harder when they murder a crazy woman who may or may not have died. Either way, someone is seeking revenge on all seven of them.
